Fairway upgrade: draft of planning approval in hand

The planning approval authorities of the Waterways and Shipping Directorate North and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg have completed the draft of the plan-ning approval notice for the fairway upgrade to the Lower and Outer Elbe River.

Frank Horch, Senator of the Authority for Economic Affairs,Transport and Innovation: “This draft of the planning approval notice represents another key milestone en route to the final planning approval. Our neighbouring states, Lower Saxony and Schles-wig-Holstein, will now be requested for their approval. This is planned accordingly in the Federal Waterways Act. We are on schedule, and I’m confident that the final planning approval resolutions will be available in the spring of 2012 at the latest.”
